Preparation methods:
Step 1: Cook 100g pigeon peas (tuvar dal/arhar dal) for 30 mins. Boil it with pieces of drumsticks, brinjal, pumpkin and onions.
Step 2: Add 2 tbsp of thick tamarind juice. Add chilli powder and salt to taste. You can also add jaggery as per your taste. Add 2 heaped tbsp of Sankalp Sambar Masala.
Step 3: For tempering (tadka), heat 2 tsp oil. Add 1 red chilli, 1/4 tsp fenugreek, 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 2 sprigs of curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida. Add tadka to the mixture. Boil for 2 mins
